He has a passion for moving higher education forward into a new pedagogical model focused on transformation rather than information. His occupational interests include academic integrity in the digital age, engaging emotional intelligence in online education, and optimizing assessments around real-world experiences. Dr. Smith earned his Ph.D. in Depth Psychology which focuses on the unconscious and transpersonal aspects of what it means to be human. He is a certified MBTI Steps 1 and 2 consultant and has over 20 years management and leadership experience in the non-profit sector.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a 3 or 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks from a UGC-recognized university or institution. The medium of instruction must be in English.
No GRE/GMAT or any English proficiency test scores are required.

Note: Candidates should score a minimum of 2.75 CGPA in the 1st year to be eligible for 2nd year on campus at Walsh College.

The DBA program is different from the PhD. It is designed specifically for working professionals and develops data-driven, scientific, evidence-based decision-making skills. These decisions may be related to strategy formulation, implementation, operations, etc.

What is the value added to a DBA compared to a standard PhD?

In contrast, the PhD in Business Administration is designed for young academic-oriented learners. The PhD develops research skills that help to develop theories or models that enrich the existing literature.

What is the program structure of 1st year? How will the research track and specialization track be delivered?

Learners will start the Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (PGPAIML) offered by Great Lakes Executive Learning. As part of this, learners will complete foundational courses followed by courses in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. These courses shall help create the required foundation / revise essential topics in each learner to prepare them for their Masters courses. Learners need to secure a min. of 2.75/4 as a CGPA to continue.

In the second and third years, learners will study and cover several other AIML specialized and research courses, followed by a dissertation, thesis writing, and defense.
